Our in house design for Neutron backscatter employs a source that has 5000
times less activity than competing devices, yet has better resolution.
Mechanical collimators have windows that are half the industry standard,
for better resolution. And, although expensive, tungsten's superior
performance makes it the heavy metal of choice when designing collimators
and shields.
SPEED
A skilled NSS scanning team can perform many scans through the course
of a day. You will have a hard copy of the results and the engineer's
interpretation on site.
SAFETY
NSS personnel are experienced in radiation and plant safety; attending
several refresher courses each year. NSS sources are small compared
to most industrial uses and pose very little hazard to plant personnel.
